NEW YORK, NY (September 12th, 2013) – Athletic fashion menswear label NUMBER:Lab debuted their SS14 Collection at the CFDA Fashion Incubator’s Market Day. View the entire collection here.

NUMBER:Lab’s Spring 2014 collection takes cues from robotics and astro-technology.  Combining futuristic prints with space suit-inspired paneling, the designs complement movement and the natural mechanics of the body while hinting stylistically at protection from outside elements.

The collection’s robotic-inspired theme plays-out in dynamic, almost forward-moving, prints, paired in some places with signature color-blocked panels — suggestive of joints and levers.

The use of metallic colors such as “alloy” and “steel” give a sense of structure while the collection’s bold infusion of color — bright reds, magnetic yellows and the brand’s trademark “space blue” – offer a feeling of movement and “lifeforce” to the collection.

What started out as a challenge to engineer the perfect t-shirt in 2007, became an athletic-inspired fashion concept that seamlessly melds sport styling with everyday-wear.  NUMBER Lab, a New York City-based men’s sportswear brand, has successfully pioneered this very concept of athletic fashion.

“We believe that the lines between the gym, work and play continue to blur, therefore, we design for men who embrace this lifestyle yet don’t want to look like they are “heading to the gym” says Greg Lawrance, NUMBER Lab’s co-founder and CEO.  “We continue to give guys the option to elevate their everyday look without sacrificing comfort and performance.”

In less than a few years, NUMBER Lab’s mission has proven successful:  national retailers such as Bloomingdale’s, Scoop and Saks Fifth Avenue offer the collection.  The line is also carried in numerous upscale boutiques including Ron Herman and Louis Boston.
