Inspired by the early 1960’s icons, after a trip to Cannes Film Festival, Pamella Roland’s Spring 2014 Collection was filled with retro glam designs. The show began with a crochet geometric cutout over a white strapless dress that introduced a retro feel. The model’s hair was parted on the side and teased at the crown into a messy ponytail giving it a modern twist on the beehive. This beautifully constructed mod look would be used throughout the entire show.

Hints of  60’s inspired fashion seeped through with colorblocking, full knee-length skirts, cape detailing,  bold strapless gowns, and transparent raincoats. The color palette ranged from neutral shades of black, white, and greys, to bright yellows, oranges, and a vibrant baby blue. The color scheme added to the elegance of the show appealing to everyone’s inner Grace Kelly.

Many of last season’s trends were incorporated within this spring collection paired with a modern twist. Cropped tops were complemented with knee-length skirts and trousers. The embellished sequins dresses enhanced the sophistication of the show revealing the designs signature evening wear look. Among some of the famous faces in the front row were actresses Katie Cassidy and  Perrey Reeves,  heiress Lydia Hearst, photographer Nigel Barker, and television personality Miss J. This ready to wear collection is sure to been seen on the red carpet soon!
