A lot of people swear by this, but it’s hard to tell how your skin will feel when you apply toothpaste on it since the skin can get irritated due to the different ingredients and fragrances. If you leave it on for too long, the skin might dry up further doing more damage than before. So before applying toothpaste, patch test it on any part of the skin. If it feels normal, go ahead and apply a tiny amount to the exact pimple spot.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is the essential oil that contains many antimicrobial and anti-acne properties. It prevents scarring and helps protect skin against further development of acne. Put a small amount (usually one drop) on a cotton ball and dab it on to your skin. If your skin feels sensitive, dilute it and then apply.
It might sound a tad bit weird, but it works. Aspirin contains salicylic acid which is anti-inflammatory and the main constituent of many acne creams. Crush an aspirin, mix it with one drop of water to form a paste and apply it on the skin.
Applying Hydrocortisone cream on an inflamed pimple or irritated skin can effectively reduce the redness and intensity by 80%. Use it at night and a little bit in the morning. Repeat for two days for a great looking skin.
Spot treatments are a mixture of salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and glycolic acid. The spot treatments will dry the pimple however it is important to remember that the solution should only be applied to the zit itself and not the whole face.
