Official FIFA partner Sony Corporation (Sony) will be photographing 53 of the 64 matches during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, which opens on June 12, 2014 (local time).
For the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil ™, Sony is launching a range of activities that take full advantage of the strengths of the Sony Group and its partnership with FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), including Sony technology such as 4K. From electronics to entertainment, Sony will create various tie-ups with its services in order to harness the power of the tournament and the emotion of football to the max.

One Stadium is Sony Group’s portal site that serves as a hub for global football communication. Maximizing the possibilities offered by an online community space, Sony aims to bring people together across all borders, to share their passions and inspirations through a range of projects and content.
This website offers the latest information on football and popular stories in an easy-to-use format, connecting with social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
For three months from December 2013, Sony and companies from across the Sony Group held the global SuperSong music contest for aspiring songwriters, featuring Ricky Martin. More than 1,600 songs were submitted, and the winning song, “Vida,” was performed by Ricky Martin himself and recorded for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Official Album.
Sony Music Entertainment (SME) and FIFA announced “We Are One (Ole Ola),” the Official Song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, by global music sensation Pitbull, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Brazil’s Claudia Leitte. The song will be performed at the opening ceremony where it is set to further heighten the excitement of the games. (For details please refer to the joint announcement on January 23, 2014.) Similarly, the closing ceremony will feature legendary guitarist Carlos Santana and fellow artists performing the official anthem “Dar um Jeito” (We Will Find A Way).

This project by Sony supports children and communities in developing nations and regions around the world, including the World Cup tournament host country Brazil.
(1) Street Football Stadium illustration contest
In cooperation with the non-profit organization streetfootballworld in Rio de Janeiro, which uses football to help solve social problems with children, Sony is supporting this project by donating easy-to-assemble, mobile stadium sets that allow children to enjoy football safely.
Since May 16, Paint Stadium on One Stadium has been accepting submissions of pictures under the theme of “Send Them Your Power & Love” to be printed on the walls of the stadiums.
This photography contest is currently running until July 4, 2014, featuring football-themed photographs taken by young people from 14 NGOs around the world. Website visitors can vote for photographs on the contest website to decide the winner. The recipient of the prize will be announced at the Football for Hope Festival, which will be held in Brazil during the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
In partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Sony will be holding three programs, including offering public viewing events for locals in cities in Côte d’Ivoire during the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
Reports by Fan Ambassadors from 11 countries sent to Brazil, describing the excitement and atmosphere in the host country through Sony products.
A football-themed spin-off photo contest of the world’s largest photographic contest, the Sony World Photography Awards, is scheduled to start the day before the tournament. The contest will be updated throughout the tournament with superb high-quality photographs themed around the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
Other content that can be enjoyed on the One Stadium portal site includes: History, a collection of videos from past FIFA World Cup™ tournaments; Inside Brazil, reports by fans about the 12 host cities in Brazil; and special interview videos with music artists from the Official Album of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
In addition to conventional ways of enjoying football, such as watching the games at the stadium or on TV and other media networks, Sony will offer a new, interactive World Cup experience where people can join in the excitement of this tournament through various network services.
